ABOUT

Compliance shouldn't be a spreadsheet.

Gramta is an EPR and PPWR packaging compliance platform for online sellers in the EU. It combines a store's sales data with a one-time packaging specification to produce country-by-country EPR reports and to build the PPWR Declaration of Conformity and technical file, ready for the merchant to sign.

We're a small team with backgrounds in e-commerce, AI, and compliance. We got tired of watching good businesses get bogged down by messy, manual packaging paperwork. Gramta is our way of turning the complexity of EU packaging compliance – Extended Producer Responsibility and the new PPWR – into a simple, automated workflow that just works.

What we're building

One tool that turns your real sales into filing-ready EU packaging reports. It maps materials, weights, and recyclability grades to each country's EPR rules and the new PPWR requirements, with a clear audit trail. No more codebooks, no more guesswork, and no more afternoons lost to spreadsheets. It's in early access now, and rolling out across the EU market by market.

How we work

We only need packaging information, never your customers' personal data. Everything is processed securely without PII. Every reported kilogram traces back to a real sale, meaning your data is always audit-ready. We're building a focused, precise tool for compliance, not a bloated generic dashboard.

What Gramta means

Gramta joins two words from the weighing scale: gram, the unit every EPR report counts packaging in, and tare – the weight of the packaging itself, the number a scale subtracts so you can weigh what's inside.

That's the job in one word. The tare is the part of every shipment most businesses zero out and forget – and it's exactly the part EU packaging law now makes you account for, gram by gram, in every country you sell into. Gramta weighs the part you'd rather not think about, so you don't have to.

Who's behind it

Gramta is founded by two builders combining their experience in e-commerce operations, compliance, and engineering to solve a problem they've seen firsthand.
