Every published per-kilogram EPR rate for plastic packaging, market by market, each figure in its own currency and linked to its source.
EPR fees for plastic packaging are published in 24 EU markets – 496 sourced tariff lines, reviewed 11 Aug 2026. Among euro-area markets, published plastic rates run from about 0.0039 EUR per kilogram in Portugal to 4.42 EUR per kilogram in Belgium. Non-euro markets are listed in their own currency.
Euro-area markets are ranked from the lowest published plastic rate; markets with their own currency follow, listed but not ranked against euro rates. A range means the market's schemes price several tiers (recyclability, colour, format) or several schemes compete – expand a market for every underlying sourced line.

This page shows one material family across the EU. A real filing needs every material you ship, weighed and classified per country, with the right scheme, minimums and modulation applied – every year.
You owe fees in every EU country you ship to, not just one.
Every product's packaging has to be weighed and sorted by material.
There are extra fixed fees, minimums, and higher rates for hard-to-recycle packaging.
And it has to be filed accurately, on time, every single year.
You don't have to do this by hand
Send us your sales and your packaging details once. Gramta works out the fees for every country you sell in and keeps each report up to date and ready to file.
How much is the EPR fee for plastic packaging in the EU?
There is no single EU rate: each country's scheme sets its own per-kilogram price for plastic packaging. This page lists 496 current published rates across 24 EU markets, reviewed 11 Aug 2026, each in its own currency with a link to the scheme's tariff. Within one market, the rate can also vary by recyclability tier, colour or format.
Why do plastic EPR fees differ so much between countries?
Each national system finances its own collection and recycling infrastructure, sets its own targets and defines its own tariff categories, so the same kilogram of plastic packaging is priced against different cost bases. Eco-modulation adds further spread: schemes increasingly charge less for easily recyclable plastic packaging and more for harder formats.
Do I pay the plastic rate in every country I sell to?
You owe packaging EPR in each EU country where you put packaged products on the market, under that country's own rates and rules – including its plastic rate where published. The obligation applies per market, not once for the EU.
